It’s 2025, and I’m starting the year with a little design refresh. Because what better way to breathe new life into your home than with a fresh coat of paint? These five trending paint colors are already finding their way into my spaces, bringing a mix of depth, warmth, and personality to every corner.
Here’s a look at the colors I’m loving for 2025 and where they’ll be making their debut in my home in the coming months.
1. Sherwin Williams – Carriage Door
Main Bathroom Update: Built-Ins and Trim??
A deep, moody red with just the right touch of warmth, SW Carriage Door is the perfect way to add drama and sophistication without overwhelming the space. I’m thinking about using this stunning shade on the built-ins and trim in our main bathroom (or maybe a dining room cabinet? Bedroom dresser? Who’s to say! Lol). It’s a bold choice, but it would give any room a high-end, custom feel that I can’t wait to see come together.

2. Benjamin Moore – Boothbay Gray
Daughter’s Bedroom Update: Walls
Soft, calming, and just a little bit playful, BM Boothbay Gray is everything I want for my daughter’s bedroom update. This timeless gray-blue strikes the perfect balance between fresh and cozy, making it ideal for a kid’s space that still feels elevated. Paired with warm accents, this shade will give her room a serene yet stylish vibe.

3. Sherwin Williams – Muted Mahogany
Primary Bedroom Update: Possibly Doors & Casing
I’m fully embracing rich, saturated tones this year, and SW Muted Mahogany is one of the front runners for our primary bedroom update. I’m toying with the idea of painting the bedroom doors and casing in this gorgeous shade for a bold, cohesive look.

4. Benjamin Moore – Flint
Daughter’s Bedroom Update: Toy Storage
Another moody favorite, BM Flint, will be making an appearance in my daughter’s bedroom update. This deep charcoal hue with blue undertones will anchor her toy storage piece, giving the space a moody, yet playful edge. It’s the perfect complement to the softer BM Boothbay Gray on the walls, creating a balance of light and dark tones in the room.

5. Benjamin Moore – Taos Taupe
Primary Bedroom Update: Walls??
If you’re looking for a neutral with a little extra personality, BM Taos Taupe delivers. I’ll playing with the idea of this warm taupe on the walls of our primary bedroom, where it would set the stage for the deeper, richer accents like SW Muted Mahogany. This shade feels cozy and inviting while still maintaining a timeless elegance that I love.

Why I Love These Colors
What I love most about these colors is how they each bring something unique to the table. SW Carriage Door and BM Flint add drama and depth, while BM Boothbay Gray and BM Taos Taupe bring a sense of calm but still add warmth. And then there’s SW Muted Mahogany, which adds just the right amount of richness and character to anchor any space.
Together, these colors strike the perfect balance of bold and neutral, creating a home that feels cohesive yet full of personality. These shades feel timeless but still fresh, making them the ideal palette for a home update in 2025.
