Designing Your Outdoor Oasis: Exploring the Best Outdoor Elements for Your Home

Hey friends!

Since the weather is heating up let’s talk about outdoor living spaces, baby! As someone who loves spending time in the great outdoors, I’m all about creating a cozy and stylish outdoor area. So, here are some of my favorite outdoor elements that can transform your outdoor living space into a relaxing and inviting oasis.

First up, let’s talk about garden areas. Adding some greenery and blooms can add color and texture to your outdoor space, but that’s not all. It can also be therapeutic and rewarding to tend to your plants. And let’s be real, nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing your garden flourish. So, whether you’re into structured gardens or wild and free gardens, make sure you have a space to plant your favorite flowers and veggies.

If you love gardening like I do, then this photo is what dreams are made of! I love the pea gravel with the paver path, and the boxwood border is just *chef’s kiss*.

Next, let’s dive into pool and hot tub areas. If you’re lucky enough to have space for a pool or hot tub, you know what I’m talking about. There’s nothing like taking a dip in cool water on a hot summer day or relaxing in the hot tub after a long day. Add some comfy lounge chairs, some music, and mood lighting, and you have yourself a little slice of heaven.

Hey… a girl can dream right?! Literally drooling over this home exterior, and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

Now, let’s talk about one of my all-time favorite outdoor elements – the outdoor kitchen. Imagine hosting a barbecue and being able to cook up a storm right there in your backyard. You don’t have to run back and forth between your indoor kitchen and the grill. Plus, an outdoor kitchen is a great way to add value to your home. So, whether you want a built-in grill or a full kitchen with all the bells and whistles, an outdoor kitchen is a must-have.

If there is a mix of stone, greenery, and string lights… it’s pretty much a guarantee that it is my new favorite space. This outdoor kitchen is no exception.

Of course, we can’t forget about cozy lounge areas. Whether it’s a hammock, an outdoor sofa, or a swing, having a cozy spot to relax and unwind is crucial. Add some pillows, blankets, and candles, and you have yourself a perfect spot to read a book, sip a glass of wine, or just take a nap.

This sweet little built-in seating is perfection! The herringbone brick and striped cushion accent each other perfectly.

Last but not least, let’s talk about fire pits. There’s nothing like sitting around a fire pit with friends and family, roasting marshmallows, and telling stories. A fire pit can add warmth and ambiance to your outdoor space, making it a perfect spot for gathering and creating memories.

The epitome of coziness! I love everything about this space.
