As soon as I laid eyes on this 1930s Tudor, I knew it had so much potential. With its charming exterior and classic elements, I was excited to help bring it back to life. And I couldn’t have asked for better clients to work with – they had a clear vision for what this home needed to become the envy of the neighborhood. Together, we set out to modernize and refresh this stunning property, and the end result was nothing short of breathtaking.
Here are a few of the inspiration photos the clients sent me on Tudor homes that they were loving.
Via Home & Design
After seeing what style they were looking for, I put photos of their home into a visualizer and created an image to give them an idea of what it will look like once we add some lighter colors and lose the brown brick.
When the contractor and I had initially met on this project, we had both decided that getting rid of the brick columns on the front and adding some cedar beams would really open up the space and give it an up-to-date look while still keeping the classic Tudor style. Come to find out the clients were thinking the exact same thing and we couldn’t have been happier about it! We knew this would make a huge impact to the overall look of the home.

This photo helped the clients visualize what limewashing the brick would look like, and they decided on ROMABIO limewash in color Cristallo White. This is a beautiful, neutral white that brought the perfect amount of warmth to this exterior.

For the trim colors, the clients had a few of their favorite grey, blue, and green toned colors selected that we played around with for a while. In the end, they selected Benjamin Moore’s Greyhound lighten by 25%. It worked perfectly with the limewash color and also played well with the surrounding home’s colors.

When I first saw this light fixture, to say I was obsessed would be an understatement. To my excitement the client fell in love with it too.

When you put all of this together with the help of some amazing craftsmen you get what you see below. It was a pleasure to work on this 1930 Tudor home and bring it back to life with the help of classic design elements and amazing clients.
