The Best Cabinet Paint Colors to Pair with Black Countertops

Hey friends!

If you’ve got black countertops or are thinking of getting them, this one is for you! Black countertops are perfect with all design styles and are timelessly stylish, but let’s be honest, choosing the right cabinet color to complement them can be a bit tricky. Don’t worry, though—I’ve got you covered! Here’s a fun rundown of some of my favorite cabinet paint colors that pair beautifully with black countertops. Whether you’re into neutrals, bold hues, or classic whites, there’s something here for everyone. Let’s get into it!

Beige & Neutral Tones

Neutrals are always a safe bet when you’re working with black countertops. They create a warm, inviting vibe without overwhelming the space. Not to mention, there are always a timeless choice. Here are a few of my go-to shades:

  • Sherwin Williams – Beach House: This soft, sandy beige feels both warm and coastal. It’s light, airy, and brings a touch of the coast to your kitchen.
  • Sherwin Williams – Stone Hearth: A bit deeper and moodier, Stone Hearth is perfect if you’re looking for a neutral with a little more character. This color is also a near-perfect color match for Jean Stoffer’s cabinet color “Bromley Taupe”.
  • Benjamin Moore – Revere Pewter: A classic that never goes out of style. Revere Pewter is a warm gray-beige that adds just the right amount of depth to your cabinets.
  • Benjamin Moore – Pashmina: This earthy tone is both sophisticated and cozy, making it a great choice for a grounded, elegant look.
  • Sherwin Williams – Accessible Beige: A fan favorite, Accessible Beige is versatile and plays beautifully with the richness of black countertops.

  • Farrow & Ball – Dead Salmon: Despite its quirky name, Dead Salmon is a stunning muted pink that adds warmth and a vintage feel to your kitchen.
  • Sherwin Williams – Muted Mahogany: This deep, reddish-brown is perfect for creating a cozy, inviting space with a bit of drama.
  • Sherwin Williams – Townsend Harbor Brown: A rich, chocolatey brown with a hint of red. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and pairs beautifully with black.
