The Dramione Fluff I Always Go Back To

If you’ve been around me long enough, you know my default reading habits are a bit unhinged. I love the emotionally destructive stuff. I read the kind of fics that will have me sobbing for days, then turn around a force all my friends to read it so they can suffer too. But sometimes I want something lighter. Not silly, not empty, just a little… fluffy. These are the ones I go back to when my brain wants comfort but not boredom.

I’m putting them here for anyone who wants the same thing or just wants to talk to someone else about the fics they’re obsessed with. 😉

Remain Nameless

Not full fluff, but absolutely soft enough to count. Slow, steady, quiet in the absolute best way. It feels calm without being dull. One of the best things I’ve ever read. If you haven’t already read this… I am jealous of future you.

Author summary: Draco is barely holding it together post-war, and Hermione becomes the one part of his day that feels like a reason to keep going. She’s living her life in fragments and trying to figure out how to put them back together. Their quiet morning routine turns into something neither of them expected.

Ten out of Ten

Word Count: 61,559
Light and genuinely so enjoyable. No stress. Easy to fall into. Great when you want something quick and fun to read. And the spice is just *perfection*.

Author summary: Hermione is stuck in a forced marriage situation and is determined to find a loophole, but she only has two weeks to figure it out. Draco is a problem, as usual. Everything gets more complicated and more entertaining than she planned.

Meet Your Match

By: morriganmercy
Word Count: 121,611
Fun, modern, and very easy to read. Good pacing, the BEST banter (ugh the banter!), nothing feels forced. I will tell anyone who will listen about how much I love this fic.

Author summary: After the war, Draco is trying to live quietly in the Muggle world… which would be easier if the Muggle couple who takes him in wasn’t determined to set him up with Hermione. She’s not exactly on board, but nobody asked her.

Apple Pies and Other Amends

By: ToEatAPeach
Word Count: 76,720
Soft and warm in a very comforting way. Nothing too dramatic, nothing too loud. A good choice when you want something that feels emotional, but not in an overbearing way.

Author summary: Hermione copes by baking for literally everyone she knows, and eventually realizes she’s doing something real with it. Draco ends up pulled into her orbit through pastries, cream, and a lot of unspoken feelings.

The Silver Envelope

By: sinflower81
Word Count: 192,646
Not heavy, not overly fluffy, just perfectly balanced.

Author summary: It’s been five years since Draco and Hermione last spoke. Life is different now, trust is harder, and Hermione’s breakup leaves her needing help only Draco can give. Alternating POVs, slow burn, and steady reconnection.

Rosemary for Remembrance

By: rubber_soul02
Word Count: 167,789
Soft with a little weight to it. Calm, steady, and good for days when you want to read without overthinking anything too much. Heartfelt in all the right places.

Author summary: Hermione is lost after the war and can’t find her place. Running into Draco on her birthday sparks the first bit of hope she’s felt in a long time. What follows is healing, growth, and second chances.

Still Life

By: monsterleadmehome
Word Count: 65,232
Grown-up and romantic without trying too hard. One of the more reliable fics when I want something fun and meaningful but not draining.

Author summary: Hermione is the Minister for Magic and on the brink of divorce. Draco ends up working closely with her through a political role he didn’t expect. It’s about timing, rebuilding, and choosing something better.

Hot for Teacher

By: MotherofBulls
Word Count: 61,722
Quick, fun, and exactly what it should be. No surprises. No stress. Seriously had so much fun reading this one.

Author summary: Draco is a single dad raising a teenage son. His son develops a crush on a teacher… and the teacher happens to be Hermione. Draco tries to parent, teach, flirt, and not fall apart.

Final Thoughts

If you read any of these, feel free to come back and tell me what you think. I like knowing what other people enjoy, and honestly it’s nice to talk to someone else who reads this stuff as much as I do. And thanks for being here today!
